Wes Montgomery

Wes Montgomery was an American jazz guitarist who was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1923. He rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s with his innovative playing style and technical virtuosity. Montgomery is considered one of the greatest jazz guitarists of all time. He was known for his unique thumb-picking technique and for his ability to incorporate soulful blues and gospel influences into his playing. He died in 1968, but his legacy as a guitarist and innovator continues to endure.
