Russel Malone

Russell Malone is an American jazz guitarist known for his virtuosity, soulful expression, and swinging style. He was born in 1963 in Albany, Georgia, and grew up surrounded by gospel and blues music. Malone started playing guitar at the age of 8, and was soon influenced by jazz greats such as Wes Montgomery, George Benson, and Pat Martino. He went on to play with many legendary jazz musicians, including Benny Carter, Diana Krall, and Jimmy Smith. Malone has also recorded over a dozen albums as a leader. He is widely recognized as one of the top jazz guitarists of his generation.
