Cal Collins was an American jazz guitarist. He was known for his fingerstyle playing and his ability to play in a wide range of styles, including swing, bebop, and country music. Collins was particularly respected for his virtuosic technique and his creative solos. He performed and recorded with many of the top musicians of his era, including Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, and Stan Kenton. Despite his significant contributions to the world of jazz, Collins is not as well known as some of his contemporary guitarists, but his playing continues to inspire and influence musicians today.
